This so-called winter sunglass frame ” LUNA I “, was first designed and manufactured by the British eyewear brand ‘ Oliver & Goldsmith ‘, back in the 1960s. At that time and as a result of their brand partnership, the French eyewear brand ‘ Bollé ‘ also produced these frames in one-piece, renaming them as ” LUNASPORT “. After that, the industrial design for this model was abandoned and so Its production, for more than 40 years.
In order to not let these beautiful sunglasses be forgotten, we decided to register again the industrial design for this model under our own brand, making them foldable. This way we could keep, preserve and improve these ‘space era’ frames for many years to come. By using developments in modern manufacturing and lens quality with modern materials, we introduce you to the exact same design now with high-quality optical lens polycarbonate, and folding arms made with TR-90.
Having such an effort and investment from our part, we also decided to give them a new name: ” SPARTAN 1968 “.
